29 - 31 JULY 2016
Hi Ram!
I know, I’m so tamad when it comes to writing my travel blogs. So yeah, this happened last July 2016 and it’s January 1, 2019 now as of writing this. Hahahahuhu!
Just a bit of a back story: when I was in college, prolly circa 2009, I stumbled upon a book entitled “The King of Nothing To Do” and in there he mentioned about a road trip to Pagudpud. I was young then. I don’t even have an idea where Ilocos is or which one among Ilocos and Iloilo is in the north and which one is in the south. (But that was a decade ago. You ask me now where a certain place in the Philippines is, and I can point it in the map in less than 5 seconds.)
I never imagined I can actually be IN Ilocos.
Fast forward to 2016.

AND...
I wasn’t able to try their empanadas because I wasn’t really a fan of empanadas. But I did try the Pinakbet Pizza and that’s O-M-G! It was orgasmic. You should try that, too!
Going to Ilocos by land travel, man, it was a long ride. But, I don’t know, I’ve always find joy in long rides. There’s a sense of peace it in. You were in a moving vehicle driving through time and yet the world around you seems to slow down…
Till next time, Ram!
xoxo,
RAM
